I have been looking for this for 11 years!

I remember seeing this ondemand in the free movies section and I thought that it was titled "Echo" but every time I searched anything like that, the right plot never came up. Does the "entity" appear in the form of flashing light or something? Regardless, I'm going to find this and watch it anyways. But I can't believe I found it from reading an Indie Wire article today!
