100% better than...

Paranormal Activity. Can't see why everyone flocks to that movie thinking that it's the scariest thing since my dirty laundy pile...

man I have to do laundry.

The American version of 'Dark Water' with Jennifer Connelly has a good creepy laundry scene.
I don't know what it is about laundry. Inherently creepy. They should feature that in more chillers.
Another good laundry scene is in Corman's 'The Trip'. Peter Fonda should only ever be in LSD movies.
Supernatural...appliances...movie magic.

I agree with you. Another recent film that I felt was quite similar to this that received astronomical amounts of praise was The Conjuring. Don't get me wrong, I thought The Conjuring was pretty good but this film is 10 times better yet it is close to obscurity (not too many people talk about it besides hardcore horror fans) and The Conjuring has made over $100 million in the box office and is already being called a modern day horror classic by critics. It's funny how those things work out sometimes. But The Entity is probably in my top 10 favorite horror movies of all time either way.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

Agreed. Paranormal Activity had some jumpscares and no real lasting impact. The Conjuring was fairly creepy I'll give it that. The Entity is the scariest movie ever made in my opinion.

They're all good but they lack substance.

It is good, not as good as others but it raises the hair on the back of your neck. Not many out there can do that in the old fashioned way.
