DVD question...

Is the DVD uncut? I heard that there is a version that edits out most of the blood. Is the DVD the uncut version or should I just stick with my VHS?

An uncut DVD and Bluray release exists for sure, but I am not sure if all DVD versions are uncut.

Thanks. I've done a bit more research and I think that the cut DVD might just be in the UK, but I can't find anything too conclusive.
