Why was David even released?

The judge ordered him, that he could have no contact with Jade or her family, yet he continued and continued to write letters to Jade.
I'm sure the doctor had to see this happening.
Plus he wasn't going to his scheduled appointments.
IMO, he showed no signs of improvement whatsoever, and should have never been let free.
But since he whined and threw a temper tantrum, he convinced his parents, to somehow get him released.
I wish they showed how, and why.

And then, what does he do right when he gets out, he goes to try to find Jade, and in the process wrecks that family even more, showing that he never was mentally ready to be released.

You got to let it go man.

Any opinions on this, i'd love to hear them.

I was wondering that myself. David was such a worm.

The logical conclusion is that after he begged his parents to have him released, the father greased somebody's palm to make it happen.

Not only did he beg his parents to be released, but his parents seem to run a company for clients (law or business, IDK) and unlike Jade's parents, they are most likely right-wing conservatives.
