The Tragically Hip got their name from this video. Anyone know how - I have not seen it

The poor spoiled rich kids of SoCal (or anywhere) who can't do anything unless it involves bottled water, stereos, hot tubs, MTV and other luxury items. The skit is hilarious!

Yes...I heard this fact in one of their biographies. Apparently, in a small part in the movie people were asking for donations to a foundation called 'The Tragically Hip' and they picked it up from there.

I thought they got the name from lyrics in an Elvis Costello tune?
