The Beyond - censors suck! The Film shouldn't.

I grew up with a heavily edited down version of this and that sucked. PAN & Scanned - music changed too (and I'm not talking about the American "7 Doors" video release). All that was intact was the acid scene on Jill's mother, the death of Al Cliver and the squib gunshots of the shambling zombies. Now I have tones of Uncut releases on both vhs, dvd and Blu ray with all different masters and languages. And previous censors of this material can go to hell for all I care - they never succeeded. Great movie, great visuals, gore is extreme. Allot of people had a love/hate relationship with this but I do like his statement that horror "is acceptable to be gory" and stance on putrid rot and decay. Otherwise - great with the horror (Gianetto/ Trani) / suspense visuals / score (Frizzi's great) / camerawork (Salvati, people!). I can take it as a masterpiece - others can't, I accept that.
