Guy in the Beginning

Wasn't there a male character in he beginning of the movie that was hiding in the bushes and sweating, trying to hide from the killer. Who was he and what did he have to do with th movie? Anyone remember?

reply

yeah, this is never explained at all as to who this guy is or was to the killer..

reply

He served a very important purpose--bloodletting within the first 60 seconds of the film. He died for our entertainment. Be grateful!

Anyone else find that scene odd? It came across like the killer needed 4 hands to achieve that scene. When the titles rolled I thought, "Huh? Wait a minute! Get back here! That's BS! You can't do that!"

Well after watching the movie a few times I thought that the opening scene was a bit strange because we were never introduced to the character. I guess just someone else to add to the body count

reply

I thought that was funny too. He's choking this guy with both hands (lifting him up in the process), and also stepping on his hand and stabbing him in said hand with a machete. I thought maybe he was being attacked by a duo. Instead, Craig is just a beast.

reply

Naw, you can clearly see that he only has one hand on the neck after the knife scene.

They should've had him as part of the main group, like have the friends wonder where he is, or something. It would've made more sense that way, instead of him as a random person.
