I thought there were some OK parts, but i thought the ending for this movie was mean and too downbeat

I personally enjoyed both of these films, and I've seen far far worse slasher flicks than these...Not saying either are classics...

I agree it wasn't a classic but I wasn't bored. I rented this for a cheesy movie night. my friend and I had fun watching it.

i happen to like this flick. i have the uncut vhs and im wondering if most of the people who think this movie sucks think so based on the heavily cut dvd.. there are so many horror movies out there that are really bad, but dorm dripped blood is your basic traditional slasher. its not the best, but its not bad!

GIRLS NITE OUT wasn't so bad. I've not seen DORM OF BLOOD I'm afraid, but I'd like to.

Girls Nite Out was fun at least. Worst slasher ever? I'm going with Splatter University. Return to Horror High gets an honorable mention.
shareI am a fan of both of these movies. Although done on a small budget they were both effective. Girls Nite Out was more of a "fun" type movie with some laughs, jokes etc that showed another side of the movie. They developed the characters a little bit so you actually liked some of them. Large basic cast and lots of different shooting areas, not the same all backround throughout the movie. Death Dorm/The Dorm That Dripped Blood was more of a dark, moody movie. Mostly all gloom and doom. Nothing in particular where the cast was having fun. Very small cast. Death scenes were great, especially if you get the Directors Cut. They added back in the cut scenes. I did like the dark and gloomy wandering around the halls of the dorm and the ending was a surprise. I would definitely pick up a copy and see for yourself.
shareI'd contend that Offerings (1989) and The Forest (1982) are worse than Girls Nite Out and The Dorm That Dripped Blood. And have you seen Don't Go in the Woods?
As for The Dorm That Dripped Blood and Girls Nite Out, neither is a top-tier slasher, but I think Dorm circumvents genre expectation in a cool and fresh way, while Girls has a likable cast.

I agree with the last post. I have original VHS versions of boths Girls Nite Out and The Dorm That Dripped Blood. There are definitely worse films by far. Girls Nite Out has a likeable cast, had a good back story that, creepy scenes (like the bear coming at Leslie in the church whispering to her) and everything seems to gel together. The Dorm That Dripped Blood was more dark and atmospheric with great kill scenes. If you can pick either of these up somewhere a true fan will not be dissapointed.

Girls Nite Out is so good! I LOVE THEM BOTH DEARLY and to some wont be the best slashers but not the worst- however I think that they are top of the list with me- although alot of other slashers are top of the list with me as well so

just bought the blu to "Dorm",it wasn't the worst slasher ive seen but it wasn't great either.4/10.Girls nite out tho i thought was pretty good.7/10.
