Clint Eastwood's Magnum Force

There certainly are some similarities between Diva and Magnum Force. Can't give away plot points but I'd say the chronology is this, Le Doulos from Melville in the 50's (itself influenced by American westerns and early gangster movies )influences Dirty Harry and Magnum Force which in turn influences this movie.

How about Diva's skin head hoodlum and the first gangster we see from Le Doulos. Absolute similarities; Dominique Pinon and Serge Reggiani. They look so similar. Diva has such a depth of sources. One of my favourites. Including more than a nod to Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes before Eastwood and Melville. And of course Con Doyle took his character from Edgar Allan Poe.
