How long was Demonoid originally meant to be?

Demonoid is listed here as being 78 minutes long, but I know a European video version (as "Macabra" or "Les Doigts du Diable") that is supposedly 92 minutes long! Is it a mistake? Can it really be that a whole 14 minutes were cut from the movie for the US release?

if you watch it, you would believe 14 minutes were cut because the editing is atrocious & certain scenes & dialogue really seem to be missing some context
