Some people are traumatised for life dude. You also have to remember that the men who attacked her also raped and killed her mother in front of her eyes.

Well then she should have snapped out of it in part 2 and turn into Rambo with her father, killing thugs with an M-60.

she wasn't as strong as her father. it's as simple as that. some people freak the *beep* out at the sight of blood, some react casually. everyone's different.
