I can remember another movie like this from the 1970s

All I can remember is that a Mountain man was on the run from the law - in Alaska I think. No, it is not Grizzly Adams. I think he is either never found or killed by Avalanche in the end.

You're probably thinking of Challenge to Be Free (1975) starring Mike Mazurki, also based on the Albert Johnson saga.

I was going to say the same thing, I saw "Challenge to Be Free (1975)" and was wondering if this was worth watching. Is it different enough to watch or will I just be watching the same story all over again. PS I have it on my DVR, should I watch it or just delete it without watching it.

I want to win the Nobel Peace Prize so bad that I would kill to get it
