One thing I've never been able to figure out... (SPOILERS)

The old guy who's Dr. Parkinson's assistant is really Dr. LeSange in disguise all along. Yet while the old guy walks around on two good legs, Dr. LeSange doesn't have any legs at all. How does that work?

This has bugged me ever since I first saw STRANGE BEHAVIOR back in the early 80s.
