Adding the scene of the doctor hurt the movie (spoiler)

The scene of the doctor’s death by having acid shot down his nostrils doesn’t make sense with the other murders. He was the only local resident to die. Everyone else who died was a stranger in Potter’s Bluff, so it makes it seem there must be other living locals, too. If not for him it would be the entire town, except for Dobbs, were the walking dead. His death scene should’ve not made final cut.

Also, his character was close to the hotel operator Ben’s character. Who burst into the sheriff’s office screaming about Freddy at the gas station was the same George LeMoyne who died in the car fire. Later you find out Ben is one of Dobb’s zombies toying with Sheriff Gillis.
