Personally, I'd like to see this remade.

I'm sure it would suck and not have nearly as much, if any, nudity.

The premise is simple enough but the movie itself is really dated and not in a good way.

Personally, I disagree.

first of all this is all great 80's classic, sure it looks dated, but in a good way, i say!
if there should be any remake of this great flick, it should better be fu***ng brillant! Gary Sherman should been given a second shot on this and be able to make his version!
Finally!

They would have to come up with a new ending!!!!!,as everybody will know it!!!

Why did you think it sucked?

And also, do you just have an extreme opposition to minimal nudity?

reply

i rather have a sequel.

if there was a sequel nvm and ill get right to watching it

I think it should be written to at least make more sense. I mean, come on...if Dan was dead (and thus effectively one of Dobbs's cronies), then why did Dobbs let Dan even have free will, much less lead him through that rigmarole in the first place?

I mean he should of known from the jump that he was dead when Dobb's showed him the video of his wife stabbing him in the back while they were in bed together.

I honestly do not want to see this movie remade. I did like this movie very much. It was quite creepy, and I really don't want to see it remade, because every 70's or 80's remake movie that comes out is so *beep* bad. Sometimes, Hollywood needs to learn to leave well enough alone, and come up with some new ideas.

reply

I would rather see some new ideas. something new something fresh. I know complaining about remakes is old news but there is no way they could remake this one so it would have staying power.

I utterly love this movie, but it does have flaws. I would like to see a re-make and, please don't hate me, by Rob Zombie. Need to have a workable script. Is Chelsea Quinn Yarbo still available? [she did the novelization] David Cronenberg could do really weird *beep* to this.

reply

Just finished watching this, and yeah, it's really dated and the acting/dialogue is hysterical.

Anyone that wants this movie remade is a TRAITOR.
