Cutters way is a classic film and an absolute masterpiece of Social commentary and philosophy.
I watched it once about a year ago. I don't recall very much about it, except the ending seemed a little ridiculous. I read the book beforehand, which was better. I was let down by the movie.
John Heard seemed to be trying to bring off a poor impression of Ryan O'Neal doing a cartoonish crippled war-vet/hippie. I actually thought it was O'Neal until I checked the credits 20 minutes into the movie. Probably one of the more unlikable protagonists I've ever seen. Bridges was a little better. I can almost imagine Bone growing up to become The Dude 30 years later.
What a glaring lack of observation and appreciation of talent, sorry for your loss bud.
