Why re-release this?

This is not a very good movie. Back when a 3D movie wold be released every 3 or 4 years, it was a novelty to see a movie like this. However, there is no need to see this substandard film in a film world where there is a glut of 3d movies. Comin' At Ya is a mediocre to bad film. I give it a 5/10, higher only becuase it was an interesting diversion at the time in 1981. I presume my opinion would be less charitable if I saw it today!

Yes the film is no masterpiece when compare to Sergio Leone's films. Nevertheless this was a fun movie to watch in the theater in 3D. It just mindless popcorn film and I like it.

this movie actually has some sort of historical value. Fact: This was the 3-D movie that kicked off the 1980's 3D movie craze.

The first 3-D movie of the 1980's. If it wasn't for this movie, you wouldn't have had

Friday the 13'th Part 3 in 3D or several other 1980's movies in 3-D.

Amityville 3-D, The Man who Wasn't There, Jaws 3-D, etcetera

Although not the first 3-D movie ever of course.

As they also existed in the 1950's and even before.

The film has been reinvented, so to speak. Every frame has been rescanned. The remastering and effects give it a new look, like watching a different film. This film, being shot originally in 3D, has superior effects compared to those where the 3D was added afterwards (most 3D films).
