GO SEE THE RE-RELEASE!

It's good. Definitely worth seeing, and it can be enjoyed on many levels.

If you are a fan of Italian westerns, you should definitely see it, because it is probably one you haven't seen before, and you'll get to see it on the big screen with a nicely restored print. The cinematography is actually quite good, even arty at times (like in the wedding scene that Kill Bill ripped off). And the landscape shots of the desert look great in 3d.

If you are a fan of 3d effects, you should see it, because there are lots of them, and some of them are quite imaginative and ingenious. It is worth it for the opening credit sequence alone, and the wedding scene where the character's hands are reaching into the camera is pretty amazing. Modern films using 3d haven't done anything that daring with the effect.

If you like to laugh at bad movies and enjoy them ironically, it works on that level as well. The "bat attack" scene will crack you up, because you can see the wires and it looks so hokey. Also, the amount of things "comin' at" your face is obviously gratuitous, and often hilarious because it is so over the top.

Yeah, overall it is a bit of a mediocre spaghetti western, but the novelty of the 3d parts holds your attention when the story does not, and it is a good-looking film that is just fun as eye candy. Seeing it in 3d is definitely a unique movie-going experience. Don't let the many negative reviews of the film scare you off, I think those people just don't know how to have fun.

Is the revival overwith already. I wanted to see it on the big
screen, and it has seemed to have just vanished.

Thanks, Joe

Not over. Playing festivals at first, worldwide release possibly soon.

Actually this failed miserably during its re-release in Texas theaters and the film was bought back by Tony Anthony and co.

Don't bother spending anymore time waiting for this to hit local theaters because it ain't happening. It had its chance and failed.

That's a shame. I was looking forward to seeing it. all I've got is the
crappy transfer that Rhino put out. Thanks for the reply.

Take care, Joe
