3D Blu-Ray messed up? - Hard on the eyes

I just got the 3D Blu-Ray and could only watch the first 10 minutes. The 3D is really intense and could give you a serious headache. The video forces your eyes to cross in ways they weren't meant to. I saw this in theaters back in 1981 and don't remember it being this bad. I think they may have screwed up the Blu-Ray.

The good news is that if you can handle the 3D on this Blu-Ray, it is the original 3D as shown in theaters. Not re-created.

@cblount...i do see what your talking about. Im not sure yet if its that the 3d isnt quite right during the opening credits or its just that the opening credits use a ton of effects and some are better shot than others. i do, however, also remember it being VERY crisp in the theater. There's also the fact that this film was shot using an unusual over/under method on a single frame of film and transfer to home systems is limiting. i havent watched the whole movie yet but the 3d does get better after the credits..but that may be also because its not just rapid fire gags.

Still...at the end of the day, Im totally happy to have this film on blu 3d...it holds a special place as it introduced me to 3d as a kid.

I was a little disappointed with the opening credits. The title in particular I couldn't focus on, it read Cocomin' At Ya!. Adjusting the 3D settings on my TV slightly from my usual settings helped a bit. After the credits I thought the 3D was mostly excellent although there was the occasional extreme in your face effect that left me a bit dizzy. Still, a massive improvement over the old anaglyphic DVD.
