I still love Bubo the owl!

As a kid I loved him and I still do to this day, it would be so cool if someone released a full-scale prop of him.

One of the reasons I hated the remake was because they dissed Bubo.

Surprised that Bubo the owl reminded me so much of R2D2.

OMG..watching the movie right now and that's exactly what I thought!

...he/it was popular at the time and, while CotT's creators must've realized that they couldn't have a droid in their film, they could sneak in a steampunk animal contraption (although then again, if they'd wanted to go all quasi-scifi like at least one of the Lou Ferrigno Hercules films did with its mechanical monsters and out-in-space gods, they could've just said to heck with straight-up fantasy/mythology genre and mixed at will.

I didn't like Bubo (but then, I only saw this yesterday and never caught it as a kid)...one of the many negative influences Star Wars and it being held up by way too many as stellar cinema has had on film.

I do too.

He was adorable and a true hero.
