I remember the posters for it and being excited to see it. Of all the sword-and-sorcery movies to come out of the early 80s, COTT is one of the few that still holds up today.

Check my earlier post titled:Pre Teen Review
It still rocks with the new generation...my 10yr old nephew(now 11)loves C.O.T.T.

Where you 6 in 1981? I was and I remember seeing the commercial/trailer on tv. This movie is still cool.

I saw this movie in the movie theater when it came out. To my 4 year old self it was the coolest thing next to Star Wars and The Black Hole! Beastmaster was and still is the shiznit! HBO (Hey Beastmaster's On)use to play that movie every day back in the early 80s. Then in the late 80s into the late 90s TBS (The Beastmaster Station) use to play it almost every day. "Be sure to tune into the Beastmaster this Friday at 8:05 and if you miss it be sure to catch it again this Saturday at 8:05 and a special encore presentation on Sunday at 8:05."

Omg this movie is fantastic. Yes, saw it forever ago and it watching it now lol. Never got tired of it, even after all those years. I'll always stop what I'm doing to watch it if I catch it on some random channel, usually BBC America.

I was 8 when this came out, I loved it. Beastmaster was awesome as well. I also love the Sword and the Sorcerer and Krull from the similar time period. I can never get enough of Jason and the Argonauts and the 3 Sinbad movies. The two Conan movies Arnold did were great fun too.

Clash of the Titans, Beastmaster, Krull, Conan and of course, you gotta include Excalibur.

I was too young to remember this in the theater but I caught parts of it a couple times on tv when I was really young in the early 80's. It was interesting, I vividly remember the medusa/staring scene and it scared me a little, I remember the mechanical owl too and a few more things. I remember Beastmaster too, I liked Beastmaster more and remember more of it, especially the ferrets, quicksand, creature squeezing that one guy with the blue blood pouring out. Krull and Excalibur were also played on HBO a lot during the early 80's along with Star Trek II, Star Wars, Superman, Timerider, Dragonslayer, Superfuzz, Megaforce, Gremlins, etc.

Saw it in the theater when it first came out. Sorry to say, it seemed extremely cheesy. Especially the way Hamlin talks like a southern California kid instead of a the hero Perseus.
