Why hasn't this been issued on DVD?

Or, for that matter, why isn't it ever shown on TV anymore? Is it considered politically incorrect or something?

I saw it many years ago on cable in the U.S. Have not seen it since and impossible to find. Such a shame because it is a beautiful film and I so want to see it again.
Simone Signoret wrote a great autobiography, "Nostalgia Isn't What It Used To Be." Highly recommend it.

It's been issued in DVD in France at the end of 2012. I finally saw it and was surprisingly impressed, especially considering that I've never enjoyed Mizrahi's work before. Signoret and Rochefort are great, but the movie truly belongs to Delphine Seyrig who shows once again that ,in addition to all the rest, she also possesses comedy gifts to kill for. Who would have imagined that the most refined and intellectual of actresses could be so convincing as a naive, hare-brained girl?
