In Next Movie, Donna seems to be more intelligent and had a bit of a temper, but in this movie, it seems like she is very slutty and dumb. She goes on a date with a mental patient, almost has a threesome with Cheech and Chong, and eventually sleeps with her ex-boyfriend, who seems to beat her (It's been at least three years since I last saw this movie, so he might not have beat her).
I agree. In Next Movie,we first meet Donna,who is smart & kinda hot-tempered. In Nice Dreams,Donna already looks high before going under the table & Cheech reveals Donna as his high school girlfriend(even though we first meet her in Next Movie but Cheech says nothing about his past with Donna until Nice Dreams). Donna did a complete 180 from Next Movie to Nice Dreams,what's up with that,man?

shareI'm in total agreement mate. Maybe after she lost her in job in Next Movie she goes downhill a little plus she is high in Nice Dreams. The only other way to explain it is that maybe you watch Nice Dreams BEFORE Next Movie which would explain why we get more background information on her in Nice Dreams.
Then again Cheech & Chong might be playing different characters from Next Movie? So maybe its more of a follow up than a straight sequel? They are called Paco and Man in "Up in Smoke" but referred to as Cheech and Chong in the next 3?
Donna wasn't beaten by her ex. He was boinking her brains out while Chong was hiding under the bed.

Agree with you guys, she fell into a mad depression after getting fired for messing around with Cheech at the welfare office. She then became a coke head and starts getting around with strange guys including Pee Wee Herman and that racist white biker(oddly enough). Poor Donna lol. But at least she sobers up somewhat in Things Are Tough All Over.

shareThe one where I didn't like her was in Things Are Tough All Over where she said something that I thought was totally anti-American...but then I didn't like the movie in general because I thought it was dumb.
