Oct. 9th

I remember seeing this movie in 1981, of course it was very silly. I just happened to catch in on cable. The very beginning of the move reads something like a 'Zillion years ago' then pauses and reads, 'Oct 9th'. That Happens to be John Lennon's birthday and he was killed before this movie came out. I wonder was that Ringo's decision, recognition for his fallen friend? Just wondering if anyone else caught that

Great post! Even though I knew that was Lennon's birthday and I've seen this movie dozens of times, I never made that connection until now. This film came out less than a year after his death. It couldn't have been a coincidence, definitely a tribute to JL and a great piece of trivia for this film. Too bad Lennon never got to see this film. He would have laughed his ass off. Nice observation.

Yes, it was Ringo's idea to put that in as a tribute to John. I think this is mentioned here in the "Trivia" section.

Very nice idea, that!
