I remember seeing this movie in 1981, of course it was very silly. I just happened to catch in on cable. The very beginning of the move reads something like a 'Zillion years ago' then pauses and reads, 'Oct 9th'. That Happens to be John Lennon's birthday and he was killed before this movie came out. I wonder was that Ringo's decision, recognition for his fallen friend? Just wondering if anyone else caught that
shareGreat post! Even though I knew that was Lennon's birthday and I've seen this movie dozens of times, I never made that connection until now. This film came out less than a year after his death. It couldn't have been a coincidence, definitely a tribute to JL and a great piece of trivia for this film. Too bad Lennon never got to see this film. He would have laughed his ass off. Nice observation.
