Actually I remember "couda" to mean something like "come" or "come over".

I just finished watching this film for the umpteenth time, and I still laugh at EVERYTHING! This is one of the cleverest, funniest, silliest parodies anyone has ever created! The effects are wonderful. I love the dopey, daffy creatures and everything done to them, including the wasted T Rex falling off the cliff then lying at the bottom, tongue hanging out of its mouth, totally befuddled. Their music around the fire, their irritation at the newcomer who obviously doesn't know the language (I LOVE Evan Kim!), and even their acceptance of the gay couple are all great moments. Richard Moll as the Snow Creature (I thnk he's called) is so wacky~first seeming properly monstrous then looking as if all it wanted was some friends, shuffling off, whimpering, showing that hilarious bare bottom. I love the "pointer" lizard which even is helmeted for battle. I love the lovelorn caveman's attempt to score with Lana to the tune of "Bolero" and failing most miserably. The whole cast is terrific, from oldtimers to newcomers, from "name" actors to people who might never have been in another film (though I haven't verified that yet in my filmography book that's in the works).

Each time I watch "Caveman", I find myself wondering the same thing: "Why didn't you tape it?!"

I'm so pleased to see that it has admirers.

"Kaka" is NOT a "caveman word". It's the common Spanish term.

reply

True, but I think they used the same term in the movie for the same thing... LOL

reply

They tell you that in the trivia on wikipedia.com silly sevenup154.

I personally liked how Lar yells "MACHA Macha!" when the T-rex first appears.

I believe the cave-word for fire has an "H" at the front;

"Ha-ra-ka"
