Being funny

Although this was a serious movie these sailors faced death, madness, terror, despair and calamity but somehow their spirits remained high.

At first it was the shooting at the going away party which was howlingly funny. (There goes so and so with their pistol after they get drunk) smh *

Then the back and forth dialogue or the comments between the crew that kept the movies characters so appealing, they had resolve in their duties, trust in each other and their captain.

This was not at all what I expected when I finished this film. I used to have a favorite submarine movie U-571 but it is like daycare compared to Das Boot.

This was a dynamic crew. I gave this a 10!

Although I had to watch it in 2 days since I started it late at night I didn't know it was over 3hrs long! I'll get the DVD to own!
