Matty tells Ned that Edmund is "small, mean and weak" (maybe not weak but another word). Well Edmund may have been mean, but he was not the other two. Ned should have realized this at dinner. Another fine example if how Matty had him hooked.

Maddy might've been refering to Edmund's genitalia when she said he was small.

i also thought she meant his penis, but at the same time Ned should've been suspicious that she is likely lying
