Saw it last night, TCM cropped it.

It's not the end of the world, Bloody Birthday's good anyway, but I wonder wassup with this.
It clearly looks around 1.37:1 aspect ratio.
(IMDb says it's widescreen 1.85:1)

The movie was converted into HD or blu-ray last year but TCM might not have the HD version or film reel of it yet.

Are you sure it wasn't just open matte? You might have been seeing the entire image and the theatrical version was cropped to 1.85.

Bloody Birthday has been playing on TCM for the last six years. It's probably just the same version they acquired back then.
