Does anyone know...

...the story behind the "uncut" scenes that have a little more blood and nudity and monster? They were put in a montage on YouTube and I assumed it was just a fan edit throwing in scenes from another movie entirely (they don't match at all and look ridiculas). But there was a very pristine copy uploaded a while ago (it keeps getting taken down from the site) of the entire movie that looks better than any other print and it has those awful moments in it. Because this looks like the best print available and still has the extra footage, it's making me wonder if these quick moments of added gore are legit.
