How much would Linda have loved Arthur if he was a broke alcoholic?

Loved loved loved this movie. Seen it a thousand times and always laugh. I always wondered though if Arthur and Linda were real people and he forfeited his fortune to be with her with no job skills or ability to make a living and a severe alcohol problem how appealing he might seem to her. The part towards the end where she exclaims how she's always been poor and usually been happy; though this is not impossible to believe I have to believe that one of the most endearing things about Arthur was that he was living a very carefree life but had the money to back it up. Take that away and I'm not so sure she'd be willing to wait tables while he was out at the bar.

Ok that's all. It's still one of my favorites of all time.

She still would have loved him. They would have been stealing ties together.

If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions.

Remember, she was wanting to be an actress. The waitress thing was just to make ends meet. You could tell by the story she gave Arthur in the stable with Susan.

Nothing was going to hold her back. Not even Arthur because she was in love with him already.

The conversation with Hobson had her in hook, line and sinker.
