In the moors, once they are attacked, the original werewolf is killed.
Why don't they kill everybody bitten too?
Including David of course, the curse could have been contained right then and there.

shareIt is the choice a character makes, that is all. If it is an error or not is debatable. Killing him might seem logical. But, believe it or not, people can be uncomfortable taking the life of someone just because they might become dangerous. If it were discovered they had killed him, they would be charged with murder; and they should be convicted of that crime.

They weren't used to lure the werewolf.The townspeople didn't go to help because it was planned they did it last minute out of guilt for sending them away.Although you are right.They could have ended the curse right there.
