a Goof

about a goof – but first, if not a GREAT movie (not many entries on message-board, as indicator?) not surprising there’d be goofs, if relatively low-budget not much “quality-control” whether in editing or proof-reading (i.e Movies version thereof) –
a bit funny & maybe obvious – Lee Majors character gets kidnapped, he insults some bikers, to get them to intervene –
he had found out he’s ‘trapped’, no handles on the car-doors – but to yell something at bikers he rolls down the window! – duh, if can do that (& I assume they open all the way) just jump out the window, buddy!

While that large man is crawling out that small window, what are the two bad guys in the front seat doing? Duh!!!

OK someone is being picky about an observation, what I say is an obvious goof – a guy like Lee Majors, even before Steve Austin persona, and his professional training, can escape in a split-second. the element of surprise, and all that -- and use his feet to kick them, to boot [excuse the pun]. à la James Bond and every agent under the sun. and at least – that he doesn’t even TRY (if you want to debate) shows an oversight in the script. the two guys are in the FRONT SEAT that’s right – to quote someone, duh… As for ‘’Help stamp out and do away with superfluous redundancy’’ [there’s a lot of more important causes in the world, like – Only you can prevent forest fires. etc.] ‘stamp out’ + ‘do away with’ is repetitious, moreover ‘superfluous redundancy’ is in itself redundant because repetitious, using 2 synonymous terms. if I want to get picky. but thanx for taking time to drop a line ...

You live in a dream world where Lee Majors can karate kick his way out of the back seat of a car. As for my signature, it is supposed to be a humorous joke. But I guess there is no humor in your world, just super heroes kicking bad guys in the front seat. You need to get a life, get out of the house and get in the real world.

without getting into an endless debate (that’s one thing unnerving about these message boards! ) – true I thought there was a 50/50 chance your line was deliberate, or else a careless & pedantic use of the English language – a line which by the way was maybe ‘over people’s heads’, anyway I didn’t give the benefit of the doubt; Back to the topic: not about the character being a superhero (Lee Majors in a later incarnation), but an agent who’s trained for these eventualities, again in James Bond style – and he wasn’t out-and-out trapped, I still think this was a ‘goof’ – and about this, if this is trivial can I mention that in regular Goofs section in IMDB itself, half the items seem to be inconsequential or questionable; I get into this sometimes, adding to the list, but don’t like it because it makes us out to be ‘’armchair directors’’, that we know more than the pros who actually make a film. but sometimes here or there there’s a blatant example, seems worthwhile to point it out. what bothers me, is some posters, especially when challenged, get personal for some reason and things take on a nasty turn -- it’s uncalled for; to ANYONE who is a message-board addict or excessively attached to Internet one can say hey [quoting you] ‘’get a life, get out of the house and get in[to] the real world’’ – you can’t say that about me, because you don’t anything about me, about my philosophy or lifestyle. let’s leave it at that …

touché and: help stamp out crime, send a letter Maria & put a stamp on it, with your stamp of approval -- help stamp away and do out with (up up and away) superfluancy and redunderous superkalifragic tragic redundasuperfluosity sorry I meant supraflousitness or is it superfluisititude. I’ll check a dictionary, about pompous circumstance and verbous pomposity and veracity and the verbious verbosity of it all.
