I just want to thank the person from Swizerland, who wrote this nice comment on "Germans" and their taste in TV shows. Generalisations come in so handy!
No,not all "Germans" love this TV show or shows like that. I, and many many more, considere it a disease, rather than entertainment.

Because most of the TV channels in Austria and Switzerland are the German ones.
And some channels seem to have an agreement to show the same stuff at the same time. I still remember watching the same movies on austrian public tv without commercials, while the german private channel showed them with commercials.
Another funny thing i remember is that the Swiss TV News puts on subtitles when someone speaks switzerdeutsch in an interview heuheuha
Conclusion? Noone can agree on wetten dass beeing good.
btw wetten dass is aired on saturdays not on fridays
