Hello, looking for the episode where the brothers are bested twice by a criminal who is also a martial arts savant. On the third engagement, they overcome him.
Also, is there an episode where someone constantly makes the cops in general( including the Simon brothers) look foolish by luring them into fake crime scenes, before darting away? I originally though that it was an episode of "CHiPs", then of "Hunter". But it could be Simon and Simon.
You may be thinking of "Harm's Way" from season three.

The episode in question has 3 separate scenes with some martial arts character, a white guy, not east Asian. He outfoxes the Simon brothers twice on a stairwell, then gets bested on the third engagement. All the action takes place on a stairwell, not sure if it's the same stairwell!
You could try "Tanks for the Memories". That episode has a scene of a guy dressed all in black who uses throwing stars on Rick and A.J.
