Godfather sketch

Is the Godfather/Andy Griffith Show sketch on DVD, and if so, which disc? I saw them talking about it on the '99 reunion and just about fell off my chair: "Can you BREAK his arms?"

The Godfather parody was in cycle 2(season 4) so it would be in volume 2 in the DVD collection, and the Andy Griffith parody was in cycle 1(season 4) volume 1 of the DVD set. I hope all the episodes get released, so many sketches were taken out in syndication. But if ya want anymore info go to www.sctvguide.ca "ooooooohhhh, we'll be right back"

Yes they mention in the liner notes for the first set that they will put out the Network 90 boxes first, then go back and release the 30 minute shows and the 45 minute Cinemax shows too. I can't wait cause I haven't even seen those. It'll be like getting brand new SCTV!

Why don't these people go and do another series? Are they doing anything so great on their own right now that couldn't be put on the back burner?

I suppose being older they don't feel like getting back into that grind of doing a weekly tv series again though as opposed to doing movies where they get pampered like stars and you can take as long as you want to make a movie.

I guess they would all expect to be paid alot more now too since they are big stars.

Oh one question about the Godfather episode though:

How come if Turk Ugazzo was the one who "hit" Guy first we don't see the Caballeros hitting him back? When the families declare all-out Network War we see ABC, CBS and NBC getting hit and we hear about PBS being hit by the one brother (forget his name now)...they probably didn't want to show Fred Rogers and King Friday being machine gunned. LOL. That would have been funny. The little trolley to the Land of Make Believe getting blasted off its tracks. Meow Meow Kitty taking a bullet to the head and the puppet flying off some guy's hand under the set as he goes "Aaaaarrrgggghhh" and falls over dead.

I guess nobody would have recognized anything from the Ugazzo Network anyway since it was completely fictional so that's probably why they didn't bother showing any of their "stars" getting hit.

You are the most sadist man/woman I've ever heard about. You think it's funny to see the sets of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and Sesame Street being machine gunned? Well, go to hell. If they actually did show the set of this good kids show being machine gunned, it would be the social death of SCTV and the people who worked on it. Also, did it ever occur to you that a lot of the actors on the show had children of their own and that by showing characters from these two shows being killed like this, it would break their little darlings' hearts?

Pooka I don't think they would've done it that way. In that scene there was no blood. If Paddams went back in time(24 years ago) and gave that idea to the writers they'd give him a cheque. It sounds like you've never seen SCTV. Since you're sensitive about an issue like that I suggest you should'nt watch SCTV.

I've been watching SCTV since I was 8(when it was already in syndication) and not once I was disturbed seeing a Mr. Rogers(played by Martin Short) using King Friday as foreign object striking Julia Child(played by John Candy) in boxing match. Or Captain Combat(played by Dave Thomas) accidently shooting at Gunny Rabbit(John Candy playing puppeteer Lampeer).LMAO
So its already been done.

OK, you're prolly back from vommiting, I must inform you that there ain't no Santa Claus.

Well, that Battle of the PBS Stars episode is more sedate, so it could pass through much easier.
