Best impression
What do you think was the best impression ever done on SCTV? I haven't seen that much, so I can't judge that well, but I thought Joe Flaherty's William F. Buckley was excellent.

shareMy favorite is Eugene Levy's impersonation of Ricardo Montoban. "Jes"(lol)

I have to say that Rick Moranis' 'Woody Allen' was pretty flawless, and the skit he does with Dave Thomas as 'Bob Hope' is hilarious.
Hey Mr. Noblet, I like your new fake mustache... looks real. -Jerry Blank
Martin Short as Jerry Lewis is pure genious! Funny every time!
Oh, and Eugene Levy as Floyd the Barber, as Marlon Brando. That is the funniest skit ever.
Oh God... tough to choose, but I got a big laugh from Eugene Levy doing Perry Como, but I think Dave Thomas' Bob Hope was just flawless.

Catherine O'Hara's impression of Kate Hepburn was flawless; the voice, the trembling mannerisms--amazing!
O'Hara's Elizibeth Taylor is a riot too (see "Pet Peeves of the Stars").
Joe Flaherty is about the only person I've ever seen do a half way decent Alan Alda immitation, and Eugene Levy's Floyd the Barber (both pre and post stroke!) is downright creepy. Levy's Judd Hirsch is pretty uncanny as well.

No, but I saw Short do Bette Davis on the Tonight Show, in fron tof her, and she did not look happy! It was a pretty good impression, though.
I would have to say it's a tie between Rick Moranis as Woody Allen and Dave Thomas as Bob Hope. They did a great piece when they guest hosted SNL, where Thomas as Hope and Joe Piscopo as Sinatra visit Moranis as Allen, to recruit him into the Republican Party, in support of Reagan. Great stuff.
Andrea Martin's Mother Teresa was pretty damn funny, too.

The first time I saw Eugene Levy do his Floyd the barber impression, I had to remind myself that Howard McNear was dead. I'm serious. I momentarily thought it was actually Howard McNear.
shareDave Thomas as Walter Cronkite, coupled with Rick Moranis as David Brinkley.
shareMy favorite was Rick Moranis doing Merv Griffin.
