Everything is racist in England. England is a product of cultural Marxism.

R.I.P England.

reply

Ha! 'Cultural Marxism' lol! I don't think England is the only place where such sensitivities become ridiculous. The irony is that It Ain't Half hot Mum critiques British attitudes towards Indians and the class system. Although having a white actor (Bates) play an Indian was controversial at the time, as I recall.

People can just buy the DVDs.

reply

Or watch it on Youtube!

reply

And yet, ironically, Bates was actually Anglo-Indian!

reply

He wasn't, but he was born in India, spoke fluent Hindi/Urdu, had served with the Gurkhas and had a great love for the country.

reply

"He wasn't, but he was born in India..."

He was born in India; that's what makes him Anglo-Indian.

"Anglo-Indian" =` "Adj. Of British descent or birth but living or having lived long in India."[OED]

Soon it will be The Vicar Of Dibley on a 24-hour loop while we sit strapped to a chair with our eyes held open by clips.

This is why shows like In Sickness and in Health, Till Death Us Do Part, Love Thy Neighbour and to an extent George and Mildred, Robins Nest and The Liver Birds will never be screened again on British TV, even Fawlty Towers and Steptoe and Son get near the 'un p.c' mark. Thats why the BBC keep showing Dad's Army and The Good Life re-runs and Gold have stuff like Only Fools and Horse's, Open All Hours and Porridge............... Their playing it safe my WHITE friends.

"In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening, and good night!"

reply

Dang, that's really sad.
Shows like Good Times, The Jeffersons, Standford and Son, and many more still air on US telly

reply

well, porridge isn't that PC. there are quite a lot of remarks made to Mclaren, the black prisoner, which would probably be considered racist in today's climate. As for dad's army, what about all those remarks jones makes about 'the fuzzy wizzies'?

reply

They now cut bits out of Porridge.

reply

They cut some stuff out of OFAH now, like people saying 'Paki' and so forth.
