Okay, 'Hitchhikers Guide' fans, I have a trivia question...

...Did Jim Broadbent turn in a totally uncredited performance as the internal monologue voice of the falling whale in episode 3 of the 1981 BBC adaptation of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"? As I mentioned, the performance is totally uncredited on the episode itself, and there is no further information available here on IMDb, but it sounds EXACTLY like him! I need either a hardcore "Hitchikers Guide" fan, (or an equally hardcore Jim Broadbent fan,) to help me figure this one out! Posting on both pages! Thanks!

No, the whale is voiced by "Stephen Moore" who also voiced Marvin. He also played both parts in the original radio version. You obviously haven't done as much research as you think because if you go to the specific episode 3 cast list on this site he is listed for both parts.

Yes! I discovered that myself after a little further investigation. In any case, thank you for your help and for taking the time to respond.
