Who was the 'Roll Call Blonde?'

I can't find any references to her. You can see her in most of the Roll Call segments, and a couple of times in the background of other scenes, but I don't think she was ever credited. Who was this mystery lady? I think I saw her in a background scene in an episode of "ER," too.

I can't help you with a name, but there seemed to be a Greek chorus of extras at Roll Call every morning, eating something inappropriate for breakfast with a bottle of OJ, leering and barracking, or clapping and throwing a screwed up piece of paper, when one of the main cast said something funny or stupid.

I vaguely remember one of them, when Phil said "Let's be careful out there", pointing back at Phil and saying "YOU be careful!" Did I imagine that, or does anyone else remember it?

Awight we're The Daamned we're a punk baand and this is called Carn't Be Appy T'day!

Her name was Morgan, Furilo addresses her as such in one episode. There's a photo of her to be found here -

Couldn't find the actress' name unfortunately.

She can be seen in this ep at 01:53.

She was in many, many others, but that was the best shot of her I could find easily.

Are you talking about the old lady? Then LosDiablos is probably right.

When you refer to "roll call blonde", I also assumed you mean Morgan, as referred to by SteveResin. In addition to Furillo calling her by name once, she's in a scene with Esterhaus and Gardner where she and Grace say hello to one another... quite icily. There's a backstory there we never got to see, sadly.

Llona Wilson. Sorry to say she's passed away now. Here's the link to her IMDB page.

Check out the picture it is definitely her. R.I.P

Absolutely not.

Ilona Wilson would have been almost 50 then; the woman in question is in her 20s, maybe early 30s.

That is Llona Wilson. The woman who played Morgan only appeared in the first season.

Here's a link to Llona's profile on a Hill Street Blues Facebook fan site:

Yeah, if you look a few comments up you'll see I realized the OP may have meant someone else.

But this brings us to the question. WHO PLAYED MORGAN? It's driving me crazy that she was in basically every episode of season one and was never credited.

reply

I have been trying to find out that myself. I have found out the names of 10 other background Officers.

reply

Season 1 Episode 5.

When Phil and Grace are discussing their night together the blonde walks up behind Grace to get something off the counter and says, "Hello Mrs. Gardner" and Grace answers, "Morgan"

Only time I heard her speak in the series

And there is a pic of her on this site. Page 3 photo 136

My favourite background officer, whom I think never got to say word one, was the old, toothless looking guy with grey hair and (I think - that's how anonymous he was!) a moustache. He really did his best, seeming to revel in his role - nodding vigorously, smiling, laughing at every utterance at roll call, engaging in heated debate with the person next to him about the more controversial pronouncements.

I've also just noticed that he appears in the opening credits - behind Washington I think, walking across behind Neal and quite deliberately looking over his shoulder into the camera.

He probably appeared in more episodes than some of the regulars - I often wonder if he got any other work, or whether he still dines out on his wordless appearances in HSB, like William H. Macy's Quiz Kid Donnie Smith in Magnolia.

Thanks Los Diablo - great info. I'm not on Facebook, sadly, but at least I know who he is now. I have Two Minute Warning on DVD - I love that movie - must dig it out and look for Ray.

Funnily enough I saw an episode the other day where he ALMOST had a speaking part - Lucy is out with her new gay partner (penultimate season) and they roust a pimp and his girl. Lucy tells Ray's character to take the girl to holding (or something) and he replies "Uh-huh".

I followed Ray on Twitter (becoming his SECOND follower!) He's not a heavy user, to put it mildly and he's a fan of the Caps Lock. His Tweets are...shall we say "eccentric".
