Greatest American Heroine stunk worse than a pile of sheep dung

I am certain that someone initially came up with the idea of handing the suit over to a woman. And that idea fit right in with the modern "women's rights" agenda of the 80s. But in all seriousness, that episode was the worst of the series. The girl they chose was a complete dimwit. There was ZERO chemistry. The characters had already became very pretentious and predictable. The series was too far ahead of its time. By the time this episode came around, technology was beginning to improve. But like all network politics, the show never had a chance. The 'Heroine' idea was the nail that drove the coffin shut.

I completely agree.

However... the 'goodbye' scene between our three leads was AWESOME.

The mid-late 80's was tough on super-human/supernatural themed shows. Once A Hero, Happily Ever After (Paul Wendfield), the 1 w/ the alien girl & cop chasing a giant parasite alien. And of course, Misfits Of Science.

The early 90's were worse. X Generation, Mantis, Night-Man yikes! And of course, The Flash! A poor attempt at turning The Flash into Batman.

There were exceptions. Superboy, Quantum Leap, Lois and Clark, Seaquest.

And of course, Beauty And The Beast!
