A BEEP REBOOT ?

Who wants to see the story of crystal marrying blake once again and with different actors reprising the roles ?

why no prequel showing what happened when blake was married to alexis in the 60s ?

why no sequel showing what happened to the kids now grown up danny, Kristina LB, lauren with alexis a grandma and jeff, adam, steven, Sammy joe in the mix ?

just say no to this....and pressure those beeps to cansell this reboot project.

I agree with you completely. Who wants to see the same stories all over again? It should either be Dynasty: The Next Generation, or at least a prequel.

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Oh cheer up!

At least it's not that Urkle show.

LOL

I agree. Dynasty: the Next Generation or a preequel would be a better idea than repeating what we have already seen. My only thing is that they don't put someone in charge who will ruin the show like was done with Dallas TNT.

Why do you think it will be a repeat? Yes, the original set up Cristal (Krystle) marrying Blake, Fallon's father is the inciting incidence, but that doesn't mean the writers won't venture off into new territory. I doubt they'd kill Steven's lover, have Matthew take Lindsay out of town, etc.

reply

You make a good point. Thanks for the response.

so what if they change the stories ?

will crystal played by linda evans ? NO

will blake played by john ? no

point is......who will care watching new actors playing those roles and at a timeline that we already lived during the 80s ?

a prequel could make sense in the 60s with young actors resembling linda, john and Collins and we can see how things happened back then.

a sequel like they did with dallas it's even better if they bring back....john james, emma samma, jack coleman,......etc.......and Collins as a grandma and present the kids now grown ups.

why make a redo in the 80s with different actors when u have so many choices to go where u never been before ?

FANS SHOULD TELL THEM THAT.............PLEASE DON'T RUIN THE SHOW.

WATCHING A NEW CRYSTLE MARRYING A NEW BLAKE IN THE 80S TIMELINE KIS JUST NOT INTRESTING.

WATCHING A NEW YOUNG ALEXIS MARRYING BLAKE IN THE 50S AND EVEN MORE WATCHING HOW THE ORIGINAL ACTORS GREW UP TODAY AND THEIR KIDS GROWN UP IN A NEW SEQUEL LIKE IT WAS DONE WITH DALLAS IS WHAT THE FANS WANT TO SEE.

ANY OBJECTIONS ?

This would be a million times better idea by far.

reply

I think I said also that would be a great idea. either a prequel or a sequel BUT NOT A DAMN USELESS REMAKE.

That reboot's chances hinders on Riverdale, a teen soap. If that is a hit then CW will surely pick up this reboot to pair it with this.

reply

Possibly, but I could also see them trying to pair it off with Jane the Virgin. The CWs schedule is so full though, plus they have the whole co-ownership between CBS / Warner Brothers. The reason why they rebooted Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place and now Dynasty is because CBS ended up owning the majority of the Aaron Spelling catalogue.

Riverdale is from Warner Brothers as they own the DC comics catalogue, along with Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and iZombie. I'm not sure where I'd fit Dynasty in on their schedule to be honest, then again Legends of Tomorrow as a limited episode count each season so it might end up in the midseason.

reply

No that's not possible. For one thing, Supergirl is CW's strongest 8pm show in Monday they've had in years. They won't move it. WB will not allow that. Jane is on Season 4 next year. CW's Netflix only requires 4 seasons beyond that it's not that lucrative unless the show has very good ratings which Jane does not have. CW will use that 9pm slot for a new CBS produced show assuming they don't pick up Dynasty. CW always has at least 2 CBS produced show on the schedule which means Jane will get pushed to Fridays for the new CBS prod show.
CW did not pair Riverdale with any of the male skewing Superhero shows including Supergirl to avoid rejection from viewers. I expect them to the same for Dynasty if picked up.
I see the schedule going like this:
Monday: Supergirl - New CBS prod show
Tuesday: Flash - New WB show ( The strongest so far is Lost Boys)
Wednesday: Arrow - Legends (I see Legends getting a full order to take care of this problematic slot)
Thursday: SPN - Rivedale
Friday: iZombie - Jane or CEG

The rest of the shows are pushed to midseason. Legends gets better ratings than 0.5 so no point in pushing it to midseason plus it can crossover once a year with any of the other show.
