Is it just me, or is Sagan's voice super annoying after a while?

I'm at the end of the 3rd episode, and it's driving me crazy how slow and slurpy he talks. I love the series and all the information, and his enthusiasm is obvious and nice... but he sounds mentally handicapped.

Just wondering if anyone else experienced a similar frustation.

Long vowels have become such a pain. I'm tempted to find a way to fast forward to make him talk twice as fast.

I rather like his Voice, It's unique and interesting.

That's the whole reason I came to imdb today. Watching this on netflix, I really enjoyed the book (other than the ridiculous intelligent life equation). Watching this, I'm fighting the feeling that he was an ideologue more than scientist and fruitcake more than genius.

Amateurs built The Ark, professionals built The Titanic.

You're basing that on his voice? You're an idiot.

I have just seen the 13 episodes again, its like 8-9 years ago since last time, and it`s carl sagans voice/personality AND vangelis music that really makes this the greatest documentary ever

and here you can find all DVD episodes on one blu-ray disc!

I've watched the first two episodes so far and find it quite relaxing to listen to. I think it really works well with the subject matter.

-Are these the Nazis, Walter?
-No, Donny, these men are nihilists, theres nothing to be afraid of.

just you..i find him soothing and inspiring.

I had that problem too but it went away with each episode. Plus, I was high so that probably helped.

I love his voice.

I can't get enough of it. Everything this man speaks is pure poetry. I could listen to Carl all day long.

His voice is the best thing about Cosmos, he sounds like someone who knows what he's taking about, and believes in it, there are very few people in history who could talk like him. Genius.

Agree. No one like him these days. I do like Neil, but am not sure how the new Cosmos will go over will.I think Neil is passionate and energetic, and the logical heir to Carl. I used to think it would be Michio Kaku, but I guess not.
