I bet the majority of those haven't even seen it, and want their beloved tv shows higher up by rating this down. Ughhh.

Three possibilities;
1) hard core religious types
2) pre-teen boys who like Transformer movies
3) teenage girls who read Tiger Beat

There may be others.

THat;s exactly what I was going to say. Isn't there a video on youtube of a guy showing a bunch of tweets that people wrote after the first episode of the new cosmos series.

They hated the quote on the show saying we are made of star stuff, and of course, any mention of evolution...

I'm not really liking the fact that some would rate this as low as 1 star. There's no way an in-depth review could make a point on why this should be this low.

I think some of them believe that they are doing ‘the Lord’s work‘ by down voting it so that it won’t turn more people against Christianity. I know because that’s exactly what my pastor said he would do.

Not IMDb but whether or not to support or protest films, absolutely.

I think most of the low ratings are exaggerated down votes because this was not like a science fiction movie they are used to with aliens, space ships, lasers, etc, and rather than think about it they just gave it a 1.
