Funny T-shirts?

When I was in high school, there was a British sitcom on PBS that had a character that always wore a different t-shirt with a funny saying on it in every episode. Was this it? Thanks!

This could have been it - every time the (younger) son walked in with something funny and impertinent or nearly obscene his dad would make some tart observation about it.

Both sons, Adam and Russell, often wore shirts with weird sayings. Even the father got into the act once!

I remember one episode where Adam wearing a shirt with an arrow pointing to his left and "he is a sex object" written beneath it.

Ben looked up from reading his paper and said "Would you mind not standing next to me with that shirt on?"

I saw that episode the other night (it's from series 2). Russell has the t-shirt saying "He's a sex object" with an arrow pointing right and Adam has a t-shirt with a bra drawn on it. Adam stands to Russell's right of course. Later Ben stands next to Russell and realises what his t-shirt says and that's when he says "Would you mind not standing next to me with that shirt on?"

I love the father-sons interplay in Butterflies.

In series 2 Ben wears a red t-shirt with Batman written across it.

I haven't seen the show since it first aired, but I vaguely remember Adam (I think) wearing a shirt once that said "I am a UFO".

Later, he's complaining about not getting a job as a lollipop man, and his father says something like "Yes, well, I expect the school doesn't want a UFO conducting their children across the street." 😀 Classic.
