Apparantly a second series is planned, which will be based again on a novel of the author of 'Das Boot'.

Dead link, so i googled it. The production sounds intriguing.
The new series is going to have 8 episodes and each episode is suppose to get a production cost of about
3 Million Euro's ($3,37 Million).
The premiere of the new series is set to be in 2018.
Minus is though, that its not going to be aired on any main stream TV channel.
Because SKY Germany is the main producer, it will only be streamed and aired to those who has a subscription to SKY Germany.
