Best of the West coming to DVD!

TVShowsonDVD.com has posted on 11.1.16 that Best of the West is set to be released as a Manufacture on Demand title available through Amazon. It is currently available for pre-order, however, as of this writing, the release date hasn't been announced.

Since this show used the Paramount Ranch Western town and old cabin for exterior establishing shots and in the opening and closing credits, I'm hoping they will include some bonus materials. Since the Western town still exists and is open to the public as part of the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, it would be great if they included something on the connection and included a montage of the footage filmed at the ranch. Interviews with some of the cast at the ranch would be great, too! Best of the West filmed at Paramount Ranch as the NPS was taking over operation of the property and before they started issuing film permits for filming there, so there is no permit and it had been long forgotten by NPS personnel that the show used the ranch until I made the discovery a couple of years ago. As a Paramount Ranch historian, I am beyond thrilled to see this show finally come to DVD.
