I was expecting a cheesy Santa slasher, but what I got was an excellently shot, paced and performed look into the meaning of Christmas, Santa, and insanity. Just amazing.
I love how the movie started on a mystical note (the guy coming down the chimney and going back up are either magic or the imagination of a child, or the insanity beginning) and then ended on that same note (did he really fly away, or did he crash and burn and imagine that flight in his last moments?). Brilliant, cerebral stuff.
