The "lost" Christmas movie

I enjoyed this quite a bit more than Black Christmas and Silent Night, Deadly Night. So why have I never heard of it before? And am I missing any other "classic" Christmas horror movies from the '70s and '80s?

Some other Christmas horror movies are:

-Tales from the Crypt (1972) - anthology movie, and only the first segment is Christmas-related
-Silent Night, Bloody Night (1972)
-To All a Goodnight (1980)
-Don't Open Till Christmas (1984)
-Gremlins (1984)
-Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) - it's so bad that it's entertaining

Welcome to Fright Night....for real. 

I first heard of the movie when I was walking around the video store and saw the cover. I decided to rent it. At first I was a bit disappointed in it because I was expecting your standard slasher film. But it was really more psychological and character driven. The next time I watched it I knew what to expect so I liked it a lot more. I still like Black Christmas and Silent Night Deadly Night a lot more but this is a very good movie.

I can't think of any other '70s and '80s horror movies that haven't been mentioned already. But I second the recommendations for Tales From the Crypt, Don't Open Till Christmas, and Silent Night Bloody Night. They're all good ones.
