You Can LEGALY DOWNLOAD a DVD Version

Id been searching for this for years and just recently JITLOV himself has put a DVD image up online for Download as long as its only for personal use theres like a whole cool disclaimer at the begining but its a good transfer and stuff its a version with out the subliminals in it.

You can get it from most torrent sites and it will say that it's all above board and stuff

And Mike is currently working on the enhanced DVD version

reply

Wow, cool!

Where did you download the file and how do you know that Mike is working on an enhanced version?

reply

It's been Distributed via most of the Torrent sites and at the beging of the Disc theres a Note from mike saying that you can make copies of the film and distribute it around aslong as you dont sell.

The message also mentions how he is Working on a new directors cut with some new effects etc.

+ this DOwnloadable version has had all the subliminals taken out.

Ive watched it like 3 times in the last week such a classic

Yeah, I have the VHS of this film, but I would LOVE a version coming directly from Mike! Especially with commentary, special features, etc. I would pay anything for it. Anything that I can afford, at least...

reply

I would too! I found this film on VHS in a rental store in Harrison, Idaho (population 226) as a kid. I was just glad that I was able to remember the title enough to google my way to it.

And about a decade later, I'd have to say that this film was a contributing factor to my becoming a visual effects artist. If you ever read these, thanks Mike!

Be careful which one you download, there's a couple of DVD torrents that for some weird reason have no audio files, although I finally managed to chase down one that was in AVI format and complete. The cool thing is that package I download had DVD artwork included too, so I can print it out and make the whole thing look like it was store bought!

reply

Which one was it?

reply

I don't remember, but look at the content of the torrent. The key thing is to check the file list to see if the movie is a single AVI file or composed of the raw data format of a DVD, if it's the AVI then you're probably in good shape. Also the good torrent I found included a nice scan of the DVD cover, so that's another clue.

Addendum:

I just looked up the torrent name, it was called:

"The[1].Wizard.of.Speed.and.Time.1989.DVDRip.XviD-Untouchable"

I'd offer to just email it to you but I'd rather not test the legality of it, but you shouldn't have too much trouble finding it yourself.

reply

If this is legal to distribute as long as its not for profit, does anyone who has this feel like sending me the file? It may just be me but this torrent takes a huge amount of time to download

I really want this film. I have tried numerous times to download the torrent but there is never enough people seeding it to get anywhere close to completion.

If someone knows where you can buy the downloaded torrent I would be very appreciated.

I would wish I could buy the downloaded DVD torrent from Mike Jittlov's website. As this guy deserves the cash from this relatively unknown masterpiece.

This was my favorite film from my childhood (this and Spaceballs) and on watching the VHS a couple of years back it definitely still holds up into adulthood.

Would love it on DVD.

I'm in the same boat, I heard YEARS ago that you could download it, but have NEVER found a copy.

I just bought another tape at a used video/dvd store.

I FINALLY got the file to download, not bad. MUCH better than the many vhs copies i've seen floating around here. The blacks are much more defined. I'm so mad, I was bidding on the laserdisc on Ebay, and was sniped at the last second. YOU...if you're reading this....YOU B#$TARD!!

reply

What is the best link for downloading? Is the downloadable version in widescreen? Thanks!
