Where to find - Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I would LOVE to see this movie in it's entirety; however, as you all know it is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I have made inquiries here and there - I have even gone so far as to inquire whether or not a 16mm print of this film exists. I have checked Ebay on occasion but so far no luck.

So now for the big question - does anyone know how I can obtain a copy of this film? - Any format will do.

Please let me know -

You can get this movie at www.vsom.com. It is $20 plus shipping and handling.

Have you—or has anyone else reading this—actually seen the print quality of this vsom.com copy? The website claims 'B+', but I am dubious. Can anybody give an eyewitness account of this (as well as of aspect ratios [I'm expecting pan-and-scan, but letterboxed would be a delightful surprise] if possible?)? Would love to finally see the film, but only if I won't kick myself for dropping $20 on a dreck dub of a dreck print.

Dear Bowie718: If you live in a PAL region you could always buy WINDOWS from Australia. It was released there in 1987 on Warner Home Video. It is Un-cut. The British PAL tape released by Warner Home Video in 1986 was trimmed by approximately 2 minutes 16 seconds according to www.bbfc.co.uk

The Video Search of Miami version may be the edited UK version instead of the un-edited Australian edition.

I own both PAL-vhs versions and have watched them both so I am 100% sure there is a difference between them.

I reckon you could go to Ebay Australia (I think it's ebay.co.au -- but I could be wrong) and go prowling. That's how I found it!

I suppose I could make a small fortune if I could make copies of the Australian PAL tape and sell it but having only 1 VCR and it not being a dual-deck unit nixes that.

If you do ever get to watch WINDOWS you'll howl with laughter at some of the absurd scenes. "SAY AHHHHHHHH!"

I've seen it 4 times and still can't believe my eyes at some of the goings-on. A fascinatingly bad movie with some very pretty views of 1979 NYC and some nice Ennio Morricone music.

Dialogue: "IT'S LAWRENCE -- DON'T CALL ME LARRY. THAT'S BULLSH*T."

It is up at Cinemageddon.net. It's a digital TV recording which looks quite good. Cheers!

It is on youtube now. Just type in "windows 1980" in the search engine.

"Well if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison!"

It's apparently been taken down (shocker!), but there's small tribute to the film with clips on YouTube:

Actually, the entire movie is back on YouTube, and it's all in one file. You can watch it uninterupted as I did last night.

Excellent! Thanks for the tip. For others, here it is, while it lasts:

Go to ioffer.com.

One seller even has it in widescreen.

WINDOWS has now been "officially" released by MGM, on their "On Demand" format. It's available on Amazon.

I'm watching it on tv as I type. It's on "THIS channel".
